One Shot Scott (Documentary)
On July 14th, three months following the complete lockdown of Western Australia due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, there was discussion between the film Director Scott Kunesch, with whom I had worked previously on "Cream Of The Crop", regarding live audio and music scoring, for the Documentary titled "One Shot Scott".
The premise of this Documentary, involved Scott taking the challenge to train for thirteen weeks straight in the boxing ring, reaching the height where he could stand on his own and fight against a professional boxer named Trevor Looms, who has twenty years of fighting experience under his belt.
As for the audio aspects of the production, I had a pleasurable experience collaborating alongside Thomas Deans, where together, we had the chance to record the audio on set during the timeline of Scott's training.
This entailed sit-down interviews, which eventually culminated to capturing 'The Fight Night'.
I spent time with Scott within the studio during the post-production stage.
We collaborated, making joint decisions that involved lining up foley I had pre-recorded, in order to give each scene weight, especially the boxing punches.
The music that Thomas and I composed was to be a mixture of synth elements, heavy drums and electric guitars, that I played and recorded. These sound choices assisted in grounding the story's tangible reality.
