During the same time I was busy recording the Audio and composing the music score for "One Shot Scott", I was approached by two Animation students, Jordan Costello and Theodore Gianolli, who specialise in creating both two dimensional and three dimensional animations.

The story they wanted to convey was about a schoolgirl, who is under duress from studying for prolonged periods at a time in her room.

Out of nowhere, a portal appears on the floor that leads to a secret magical breaktime room, giving the main character the extra creativity to unwind and motivation to resume studying with a refreshed state of mind.

In order to convey this through the music, I experimented with recording foley of the outside world,  recording light-hearted ambient pads, percussive grooves and catchy synth leads, strings and arpeggios.

 

My intention for crafting these sounds and executing these creative choices, were done in order to keep your imagination and enjoyment in constant motion.
